He stopped on the sidewalk and looked up at the sign. just imagine something like Vamp (1986) starring Grace Jones, meets Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood (1996) and Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino's From Dusk till Dawn all in one, set in a dirty Big Apple filled with drug/sex addicts, pimps, dealers, nightclubs, hookers and, of course, vampires with mostly all of the comedy replaced by high doses of sex, blood, and gore. He stepped through the midnight-black curtain of Live Girls. His muscles tensed and he almost paused, almost turned and caught a cab to go home to that goddamned dinner.

The sounds of traffic and voices and music, the pulse of the whole city seemed to diminish behind him as he neared the curtained doorway. Neon city lights of New York City’s Times Square can be very seductive at times, the promises of dark pleasures on the seedier side streets to, so when Davey Owen falls to the lure of a glowing sign advertising “Live Girls”, he's going to find there much more than the little entertainment he was looking for. Happy 55th birthday, Salma Hayek (Salma del Carmen Hayek Jiménez-Pinault) !!!
